Rafting

Scuba Diving/Snorkeling

The underwater marine life of the east pacific ocean in Costa Rica counts more than 650 different kind of fish. About 300 of them inhabit the rock formations close to the shores.
And scuba diving and snorkeling in the Coast of Costa Rica offers more than reef fish: within a few nautical miles from the shore the sea bottom drops to over 1000 m depth, so that many pelagic fish can be seen as well...

In the nutrition rich waters off Costa Rica you encounter hammerhead sharks, manta- and eagle rays, schools of tunas, jacks and barracudas. Among the reef fish there are various types of morey eels, cleaner wrasses, surgeon- and angelfish, next to colorful puffer and parrot fish.

Deep sea fishing

Costa Rica offers the world's best sport fishing on the Pacific Coast , with prime fishing spots for marlin, sailfish, dorado, wahoo, tuna, and more.

Surfing

There is so many spots in the area to choose from. The Hermosa and others beach break which we are closest too is one of the most consistently good surf spots in the world, where you can expect to catch a range of surf from mellow chest high on the smallest day of the year to the day to day overhead surf or the double overhead plus macking swells.

The larger surf comes in Costa Rica 's Rainy Season, otherwise known as winter (April - Oct.) During the summer months (Nov. to March) the swell direction changes to a more consistent and spaced out swell from the North Pacific. Swells often last for over a week and can just be epic.

Windsurf

The area of Costa Rica is a paradise for windsurfers. Warm water, predictably high winds, moderate temperatures and great accommodations all add up to possibly the greatest windsurfing conditions on the planet!

Canopying

Do you remember the movie MEDICINE MAN, starring Sean Connery, and if you do, do you remember the scene where him and the other scientist (his romantic interest, of course) go flying through the treetops of rainforests hanging from harnesses tied to ropes, well, that is what canopying is all about.

This adventure sport is new both to Costa Rica and to the rest of the world, and if the fact of flying through treetops at 40 meters from the ground seems to you as both an incredibly frightening and exciting idea, just imagine what it must be like to do it among the tree tops (also called canopies, thus the name of the sport) of the tropical rain and cloud forests. The sport originated from rappelling, which is a sport derived from mountain climbing in that it also uses safety climbing harnesses and ropes to displace the person from one inaccessible point to another

Horseback Ride

Explore the beauty of countryside like an authentic "Sabanero", as Costa Rican's cowboys are called. The trails head through patches of tropical dry forest - home of iguanas, monkeys and an array of bird species. There's a long, thin difference between death and bungee jumping; and, well, it's the cord. It's a bundle of elastic strands that makes the jump into the Colorado River gorge the most fun thing you'll do all year.

You just have to squelch your fear, overcome a basic survival instinct that normally rules out jumping off a bridge, and jump. Or ask someone to push you.
